Filters:
- How often should I change my filters?
- Answer: For a standard 1” filter, we recommend changing the filter every month. If your house does not get dusty or you don’t have pets, you can push it a little longer.
- Does Comfort Service, Inc. sell filters?
- Answer: We sell standard sizes!
- Currently the price of filters is increasing at an alarming rate! It is cheaper for most customers to purchase filters online.
- Which way should my blue poly filter face?
- Answer: The white part of the filter should face the direction of air flow.
- Is the higher MERV rating better for filters?
- Answer: The higher the MERV rating, the more it filters. Too much filtering can be almost as bad as not enough filtering. Too much filtering can lead to poor air flow. The pleated filters that we sell are a MERV 8. We recommend staying at MERV 8.
Maintenance:
- Should I put bleach down my drain line?
- Answer: No! Bleach can corrode your drain. If you’d like to pour anything down your drain line, we recommend white vinegar.
- Do you recommend UV lights or air scrubbers?
- Answer: N/A
Thermostat:
- My thermostat is blank. What do I do?
- Answer: A common misconception is that a blank thermostat means the batteries of a thermostat are dead. Most always, a thermostat being blank means there is something wrong with your air conditioner. You can call our office and we will be able to get a technician out to address your issue ASAP!
- How do I change the batteries in my thermostat?
- Answer: While every thermostat is different, usually the face comes off or will swing open. Please refer to the online user manual or YouTube for specifics.
- My thermostat is locked. What do I do?
